A Forsyth County woman has been arrested for setting fire to her own home after claiming she was the victim of an attack on her property.
According to authorities, Pamela Graf, 47, intially said her home had been set on fire while she was in Washington, D.C. last month for President Barack Obama's inauguration. As it turns out, investigators say Graf and her boyfriend, Steve Strobel, 47, planned and set the blaze that destroyed the home.
Officials said they discovered spray-painted graffiti that included a racial slur and ruled the fire an arson.
Both Graf and Strobel were arrested on other charges this past week, with Graf’s arrest a result of drug charges unrelated to the fire and Strobel being arrested on charges of obstruction of justice and providing authorities with false statements.
