In what many would consider the ultimate low, local police report that thieves have targeted mourners at funeral homes, stealing possessions from vehicles while the grieving families pay their last respects. Authorities reported that they have two people of interest, however no arrests have been made. The thieves began their crimes in the parking lot when the funeral starts.
The break-ins took place at the Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home in Newnan and at a
Fairburn funeral home.
