Police: Apparent Struggle Inside Apartment of Dead Woman

Atlanta police are investigating the death of a woman reportedly in her 50s Tuesday evening in a midtown penthouse.

According to authorities, the woman, whose name was not released, was discovered by her boyfriend in the apartment at the Aqua Midtown building complex at the corner of 10th and West Peachtree streets. Police report there was an apparent struggle inside the apartment, but did not elaborate. The woman had reportedly been dead for several hours before being discovered.

Police indicated they would review security video at the complex to see if more clues become available.

There was no word on when an autopsy would take place on the woman.
