After all the news of job layoffs and economic woes, finally something good to report.The Georgia Department of Labor is processing applications today for 600 jobs for Sewon America, a tier-one supplier to the Kia automotive assembly facility currently under construction in West Point.
Those interested in applying for one of 600 stamping, production and assembly positions at Sewon America should submit an application at the Georgia Quick Start office (303 Fort Drive) in LaGrange. Applications are being accepted between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday.
Individuals applying are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent, and manufacturing experience is preferred.
