Police have arrested a man on suspicion of being involved in several recent attacks on women in the Buckhead area (see related story in today's news).According to police, the man was arrested on unrelated warrants, and the car that was linked to an attempted abduction of a woman early Thursday (a Buick Riviera) was confiscated by police. As of Friday afternoon, police had not released the name of the suspect.
The Buckhead area and northeast Atlanta had been the scene of several attacks on women (beginning last summer), including an attempted abduction on Thursday, where the woman managed to escape.
In Thursday's assault, a woman living at an apartment complex on Canterbury Road in northeast Atlanta was attacked.
