Atlanta and surrounding areas looked more like northeast cities in the wintertime on Monday, after a winter storm marched through the area.
Residents received anywhere from an inch or two to up to six inches depending on where they resided.
The weekend storm also played havoc with a number of flights going in and out of Harstfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. According to a Delta Air Lines spokesman, some 300 flights were canceled on Sunday as a result of the weather.
Thousands of Georgia residents and business owners were without power Monday morning, with the Athens area the hardest hit, where six inches of the white stuff fell.
