An Atlanta couple was killed in a one-car crash in Alabama on Friday evening.According to authorities, Fredrick Fulks and Essie Mae Chappell died on the scene of the crash at approximately 9 p.m. (CDT) Friday.
The vehicle was reportedly headed northbound on I-85 when the crash occurred around exit 77 in Chambers County. Police believe the driver, who was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, tried to overcorrect the vehicle after it went into the median. The vehicle flipped and hit a sign post.
Police reported that the couple were in their 50s.
