The Incredible Sandwich is an exciting new band based in Athens that will be performing at Sweetwater Brewery on Thursday, April 2, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This is a free show. Patrons must be 21+ to attend.Formed in the fall of 2007, The Incredible Sandwich has been busy composing, recording and gigging ever since. Band members include Matt McKinney on lead guitar and vocals, Kevin Juneau on bass, Damien Kapcala on keyboards and Rackley Davis on drums and vocals.
The music of The Incredible Sandwich is reminiscent of Steve Kimock Band, Medeski, Martin and Wood and Phish just to name a few. Their sound is constantly evolving as they draw influence from many genres including funk, jazz, latin and rock.
The group will release a 5 song EP on the Athens-based Mule Train Records in the near future.
