An employee at the Standard Food and Spirits on Memorial Drive is dead after being shot multiple times in a robbery at the facility.According to authorities, John Henderson, 27, a bartender, died early Wednesday morning at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Police say that as two employees were closing up the restaurant early in the morning, four men threw a rock through the front window of the establishment. After entering the restaurant, the four suspects reportedly demanded and received cash from the employees, then shot one of the two employees.
The surviving victim, a female, was not injured.
