Current Georgia State and former University of Alabama football coach Bill Curry was named interim athletic director at GSU Wednesday.According to school officials, Curry will direct the athletic program as it searches for a permanent replacement for Mary McElroy, who was fired in December by outgoing president Carl Patton.
Curry was hired by GSU in June to start a football program that will commence play in 2010.
