Search Continues for Florida. Girl; Girlfriend Gets Polygraph Test

Authorities in Florida continued their search for a missing 5-year-old girl who has not been seen since early Tuesday morning.

Haleigh Ann Marie Cummings went missing from the Putnam County mobile home she shared with her 2-year-old brother, father, and the father's girlfriend.

Authorities say that the girlfriend, Mistie Croslin, 17, was the last person to see Cummings when she got up to go to the bathroom. Ronald Cummings reportedly returned home from work around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday and discovered the child missing, with a back door to the home open.

Police reportedly have given a polygraph test to Croslin, but would not indicate whether she passed or not.

The girl's mother, Crystal Sheffield, who resides in Georgia, is also on the scene searching for her daughter. Police have reportedly questioned Sheffield, but do not consider her a suspect in her daughter's disappearance.

Police added that they have interviewed more than three dozen registered sex offenders in the Putnam County area since the girl went missing.

Haleigh is 3 feet tall with blond hair and brown eyes, and was last seen in a pink shirt and underwear.

Anyone with information about the child is asked to contact the Putnam County Sheriff's Office at (386) 329-0800 or 911.
