The head of the Fayette County Sheriff's Drug Task Force lost his battle with cancer on Saturday.Mike Pruitt, who was suffering from kidney and lung cancer, died peacefully with family and friends at his side.
Visitation is slated for Monday starting at 4 p.m. at the C.J. Mowell and Sons Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Pruitt's funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Harp's Baptist Church.
