'Songwriters In the Round' at Smith's Olde Bar May 29

Ken Will Morton, Lefty Williams, and T.J. Edmond will perform a "Songwriters In The Round" in The Atlanta Room at Smith's Olde Bar on Friday, May 29, at 9 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m. Cover charge is only $7.

KEN WILL MORTON is an accomplished singer/songwriter from Athens, GA. The press often compares his music to Westerberg, John Hiatt, Steve Earle, Tom Waits, Springsteen and Dylan. He is an extremely engaging performer. In 2007, he was nominated for “Best Solo Performer” by the Flagpole Magazine. He has toured most parts of the U.S., Ireland, performed at South-by-Southwest, Joshua Tree Music Festival, AthFest, Atlantis Music Conference, and more.

T.J. EDMOND is the primary songwriter and frontman for the Atlanta-based band, The Beggars' Guild. The Beggars' Guild blends elements of rock, blues, country, folk and pop into tunes that are honest, catchy and distinctly likeable, drawing comparisons to artists like Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Counting Crows, and Bruce Springsteen.

LEFTY WILLIAMS was born without a right hand, but that didn’t stop him from playing guitar as early as age four. His music is a unique mixture of blues, rock, and jazz. Lefty released his sophomore effot, Snake Oil, in July of 2008. The CD was produced and engineered by John Keane (REM, Widespread Panic) and received great press, with reviews in Guitar Player, Vintage Guitar, Georgia Music Magazine, Southeast Performer, Points North Magazine, Charleston Free Times and more!
