The Cobb County branch of the NAACP is hosting the sixth annual Juneteenth Celebration 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, June 20, on the Marietta Square.Juneteenth is the oldest nationally-celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States and emphasizes education and achievement.
The cultural fest will include moonwalks, ethnic food, entertainment, vendors, music, history, giveaways and fun activities for the whole family. Vendors are welcome and volunteers and entertainment are needed.
