Evans to Perform in Mableton Aug. 8

Country singer-songwriter Sara Evans will perform at Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8. Evans is known for hits including "Suds in the Bucket," "Born to Fly" and "Low." She is also popular for her appearance on the hit TV show, Dancing with the Stars.

Tickets range from $20 to $46 and a table in front of the stage seating four is available for $300. Soap.net will host a free event before the concert from noon to 5 p.m.

Thompson, Olens Host Town Hall Event May 14

District 4 Commissioner Woody Thompson and Cobb County Chairman Sam Olens will host a town hall meeting 7 p.m., Thursday, May 14, at the South Cobb Community Center.

Residents are encouraged to attend, bring questions and learn more about projects and progress going on in their community. The center is located at 620 Lions Club Dr. in Mableton.
