Cobb County Hosting Historical Properties Workshop

Cobb County, in cooperation with local partners, will host a workshop about historic properties 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, March 14, in the Social Sciences building of Kennesaw State University, 1000 Chastain Road, Kennesaw.

The workshop will educate participants on ways to preserve and maintain Cobb's historic buildings. Topics include the National Register, local historic designation, tax benefits and standards for rehabilitation. There is a $5 fee, which includes lunch. Because of limited seating, registration is required by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 11.

Kennesaw Man in Prison; Allegedly Shot Wife to Death

A Kennesaw man is behind bars for reportedly shooting his wife to death at their home Thursday evening.

According to authorities, Robert Caldwell, 62, fatally shot his wife, Sylvia Caldwell, 50, in their home on Glenellen Court.

Neighbors reportedly called Cobb County authorities after hearing several shots coming from the home.

Caldwell surrendered to law enforcement at his home.
