Cobb County, in cooperation with local partners, will host a workshop about historic properties 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, March 14, in the Social Sciences building of Kennesaw State University, 1000 Chastain Road, Kennesaw.The workshop will educate participants on ways to preserve and maintain Cobb's historic buildings. Topics include the National Register, local historic designation, tax benefits and standards for rehabilitation. There is a $5 fee, which includes lunch. Because of limited seating, registration is required by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 11.
