One Dead Following Shooting Near Turner Field

Police continue to search for suspects following what has been described as a gang-related shooting Sunday evening near Turner Field that left one teenager dead.

According to authorities, the victim was one of two shot in the head, with the second victim in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital. A third individual was shot in the ankle and was reported in serious condition.

The suspects opened fire at the corner of Hank Aaron Drive and Haygood in front of the Boynton Village Apartments close to Turner Field in what police say was a drive-by-shooting.

One Dead Following Shooting Near U. of West Georgia

One man was killed following a shooting at an off-campus apartment near the University of West Georgia in Carrollton.

According to authorities, Ramondo Johnson, 25, of Carrollton, was killed and Rahmere Cowling, 21, of Hampton, who was flown to Atlanta Medical Center, was critically injured after the shooting at the Campus Quad apartments early Friday morning. The shootings reportedly took place during a party at one of the apartments.

Police reported the arrest of Traveris Wilson, 24, of Carrollton, in relation to the crime, but did not identify him as the shooter.

UPDATE: Greenbriar Mall Shooting Injures 2

A shooting this afternoon at Atlanta's Greenbriar Mall left two people injured.

According to authorities, gunfire broke out following an argument between three people. Police were said to be looking for the shooter who fled the scene.

Police said the victims were a male and a woman in her late teens, with the woman reportedly being pregnant. The injured were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

The mall is located at 2841 Greenbriar Parkway S.W.
